Driving one of our many modern vehicles with up to 8 passenger seats, you will be required to complete contracted transport work across the County and further afield if desired. A typical day would involve completing a vehicle check in the morning before heading off to collect the first passengers and dropping them at school. You would then bring the vehicle into the yard for cleaning and a discuss any development  existing drivers.

Auto Electrician – Vehicle Conversion Workshops.

Our vehicle conversion workshops offer an impressive array of vehicle services from installing security devices to completing bespoke campervan conversions with everything in between. We are looking for a skilled person to join a small and friendly team in our modern, well-equipped workshops based at Five Mile Lane in Washingborough. You will need to have a basic understanding of vehicle electrical systems and some relevant transferrable skills which will be used to build wheelchair-accessible vehicles & campervans and install a range of accessories including towbars, solar panels and vehicle racking systems.

Level 3 Motor Vehicle Technician - MOT & Service Workshops

With brand-new, state-of-the-art workshops in the pipeline for 2024, it is an exciting time to join us. We have just had planning permission approved for our new workshops so we are on the search for great people to join us. We are looking for qualified level 3 vehicle technicians to maintain both our ever-growing fleet of minibuses and those of our loyal customer base. An MOT tester would be an advantage but it is not essential as training will be offered to the right candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be expected to work competently & efficiently on a variety of vehicles completing tasks such as:

  • Servicing & general maintenance
  • Using diagnostic equipment to diagnose & repair faults on electrical systems
  • Replacing tyres
  • Carrying out wheel alignment checks/adjustments
  • Completing MOTs (if applicable)

REQUIREMENTS

You will be an experienced vehicle technician who is friendly and flexible. You will be capable of both working within a team and independently, completing all tasks to an exceptional standard whilst maintaining good working practices and completing jobs in a timely manner to meet deadlines.

Apprentice Business Administrator

We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic Apprentice Business Administrator to join the team. As one of NKDC’s largest employers, we are constantly looking for quality people who share our passion for delivering excellent customer service. With this in mind we want to get the right candidate through the door to grow with us.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • General administration jobs.
  • Assisting Conversions Manager in the day-to-day running of the workshop.
  • Working closely with our new dash cam and tracker system.
  • Keeping track of internal and external workshop work.
  • Working alongside our workshop staff to ensure efficiency within the workshop.
  • Answering incoming calls and emails.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • The Apprentice will work towards their Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard Level 3
  • Training will take place in the workplace, roughly 6 hours a week will be assigned to assist with working through the learner journal.
  • You will be assigned an Assessor who will make regular visits to you in the workplace.
  • Completion of this Apprenticeship is an ideal stepping stone into further career opportunities, such as Management or Senior Support.

Customer Service Apprentice

We are looking for a bright, energetic and enthusiastic Customer Service Apprentice to join our team. With this in mind, we want to get the right candidate through the door to grow up with us. The role involves assisting the Fleet Manager & Contracts Manager in their busy schedule. Answering external calls.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Seeing in our MOT & service customers

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Customer Service Practitioner Level 2
  • Functional Skills in maths and English, if required
  • Training will take place in the workplace, roughly 6 hours a week will be assigned to assist with working through the learner journal
  • You will be assigned an Assessor who will make regular visits to you in the workplace
  • Completion of this apprenticeship will lead to eligibility to join the Institute of Customer Service as an individual member at professional level
  • Completion of this apprenticeship provides an ideal path to the Customer Service Specialist Level 3 Apprenticeship
